Sprinter Side Wall Mounting Plate & L-Track Kit

This side wall mounting plate & L-Track kit is a structural foundation system built specifically for 2019+ High Roof Sprinter interiors. It converts factory sheet metal into reinforced, load bearing anchor points for secure mounting of heavy components. The result is a rigid backbone for wall systems and overhead cabinetry, with full length coverage and continuous mounting points across the van interior. Standardized structural mounting zones support consistent, repeatable installs across multiple builds.

Load spreading mounting plates reduce panel flex and pull through under real road loads. Each mounting plate is pre drilled to eliminate layout guesswork and misaligned installs, and labeled in install sequence to keep workflow fast and predictable. Integrated rivnuts provide fixed threads that prevent spin jam issues and speed up assembly.

The system comes with 6061-T6 aluminum L-Tracks that provide great rigidity and tensile strength. Their universal L-Track profile is compatible with standard single and double stud fittings and accessories, providing a modular mounting platform for a wide range of conversion hardware. 

1. Is the kit compatible with Standard Roof models or Passenger Van Sprinters?

No. This kit is designed exclusively for 2019+ Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Cargo Vans with the High Roof configuration.

2. Can L-tracks be installed on the vertical frames?

L-tracks can be installed on the vertical frames but we do not recommend it. The vertical frames already have multiple mounting points that allow you to bolt accessories directly to them, so adding L-track provides very little additional benefit.

It can also affect the overall appearance. Since the L-track sits higher than the mounting plates, the transition where the horizontal plates meet the vertical frames will no longer sit flush and may look uneven.

3. Can interior panels be installed with the kit?

Yes. The L-track flanges clamp the edges of the panels, holding them securely in place. We also have ready to go interior panel kits coming soon that are designed to work with our existing L-track kits.

If you plan to make your own panels, we can provide the required cutout dimensions after purchase. These dimensions can be used to cut 1/2" plywood panels to fit between the L-track sections.

4. What panel thickness do you recommend? Can I use anything other than 1/2"?

Our interior kits support both 1/2" and 3/8" panels. We recommend 3/8" as the best alternative to 1/2", as it closely matches the 0.36" height of the L-track flange and sits snugly against the sheet metal when tightened.

We do not recommend 1/4" panels, as they are too thin to fully fill the space beneath the L-track flange and may not sit securely against the sheet metal.

5. What type of L-track is included?

The kit uses the 6.8 mm flanged L-track variant.
