App Privacy Policy

Effective October 19, 2026

This policy covers the internal tools Tec Vanlife uses to run its own store and publish to its own social media accounts (referred to below as "the app"). They are not offered to the public; only Tec Vanlife staff sign in. If you shop at tecvan.com, our store privacy policy applies to you instead.

What the app connects to

Staff can connect Tec Vanlife's own Instagram, TikTok and YouTube accounts so the app can publish photos and videos from our media library. When an account is connected, the platform gives the app an access token for that account.

What we access and why

  • Account profile: the account or channel name, ID and profile picture, to show which account is connected.
  • Publishing: permission to upload photos and videos that we choose, with the title, caption and settings we enter.
  • Post status: whether an upload is processing, published or failed, and its link, so we can show the result.

We do not read your followers, messages, comments, analytics or any other account data, and we do not sell, share or use this data for advertising.

YouTube

The app's YouTube features use the YouTube API Services. By using them you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Storage and security

Access tokens are encrypted with AWS Key Management Service and stored in our database on Amazon Web Services. Only the app uses them, and only to perform the actions above.

Retention and deletion

  • Disconnecting an account in the app deletes its stored access token right away.
  • For YouTube, disconnecting also revokes the app's access with Google, and we delete the YouTube data we stored (channel details, video IDs, links and status) within 7 days. YouTube data we keep while connected is refreshed or deleted at least every 30 days.

Removing access

Besides disconnecting in the app, you can remove its access at any time:

  • Google / YouTube: myaccount.google.com/permissions
  • Instagram: Settings → Apps and websites
  • TikTok: Settings and privacy → Security and permissions → Apps and services permissions
