It provides safe roof access and secure mounting for a full size spare tire while limiting the space used on the door, helping to keep the rear of the van organized and available for other equipment.
The main structure uses a lightweight aluminum frame reinforced with stainless steel elements to deliver a balance of strength, rigidity, and corrosion resistance. The reinforced folding tire holder arm is built to support full-size all-terrain tires up to 305 section width without sagging, and can be folded away when not in use to maintain a more streamlined appearance.
Curved full-foot steps run the length of the ladder, providing additional foot room for more stable climbing.
